About This Plan

What a wonderful Modern Farmhouse design for a young couple, single person, or empty nesters. This Exclusive house design features one bedroom and one bath in approximately 672 square feet of living space. Perfect for a small lot, the width and depth are 28’ and 40’ respectively. The covered front porch is punctuated with a center door and symmetrical side windows. There is a small walk-up to the porch and four beams run the width of the porch. Board and batten trim and an overhead window dormer add beauty and character to the home. There is a matching rear covered porch accessible through French doors off the kitchen making dining al fresco a breeze. Both porches offer endless opportunities for entertaining, relaxing, or greeting guests.


The interior of the home features a spacious family room upon entry and the kitchen is highlighted as well in the open concept plan. There is a large kitchen island, counter and cabinet space and a separate pantry for food storage. The bedroom offers front window views overlooking the porch and a series of side window views as well. There is an attached ensuite bathroom with a spacious shower and a walk-in closet. A linen closet and space for a stackable washer and dryer complete the suite. While the plan is drawn on a slab foundation, there is an opportunity for a basement foundation. The staircase would be located off the kitchen and the basement layout would mirror the first floor’s heated square feet, excluding the front and rear porches. This is a cost effective and practical small home for a wide assortment of family types.
